About the business and the role

Green Triangle Forest Products (GTFP) own and manage approximately 24,000 Ha of radiata pine plantation forests situated in the Green Triangle region of South West Victoria and South East South Australia. 

The position will work closely with the Harvesting Manager and Supply Chain Coordinator to ensure the overall harvesting program and objectives therein are achieved.

Job tasks and responsibilities

This role is responsible for:

• The practical implementation of GTFP's harvest and haulage activities inclusive of harvest planning, roading and quarrying
• Optimising value returns for GTFP
• Innovating to realise opportunities for improvement

• Exceptional leadership skills in relation to safety, environmental and quality standards

• Enthusiasm to work in a hands-on outdoor environment

• Strong commitment to customer experience, quality standards and continual improvement.

The applicant will ideally have:

• The ability to act decisively based on information gathered / observed infield
• Experience in stakeholder management
• Advanced computer skills (Microsoft Excel in particular) and skills in the use of mobile technology in-field
• Experience in forest harvesting or roading related roles and qualifications in a forestry, technology, engineering or natural resources management discipline

The successful applicant will be required to participate in Summer fire standby roster duties and suppression activities.
