Harvest Manager (Management & Executives)

Timberlands Pacific Pty Ltd manages over 100,000 ha of forest generating 1.4 million tonnes of product with environmental certification in Tasmania and the Green Triangle Region. We are seeking to appoint a Harvest Manager based at our Launceston office. The position is in a small team managing a dynamic supply chain, reporting to the Woodflow Manager.

Key tasks within this role include:

• Planning and supervising clearfell harvesting and haulage operations with a clear focus on value recovery
• Assistance with contract and contractor management
•  Analysis and reporting of resource and production against KPIs
• Assistance with developing, managing and maintaining a Production Thinning program, including analysis of performance to KPIs
• Assistance with preparation of annual budgets, forecasts and reporting
• Environmental, health and safety compliance monitoring
• Actively participate in maintaining environmental certifications

Preference will be given to applicants with the following:

• Field supervisory experience in harvesting activities
• A tertiary qualification in forestry
• Experience in collection and analysis of data (including Inventory)
• Competent user of computer database systems and spreadsheets
• Effective organisational, time management, communication and people skills
• Forest Practices Officer (Tasmania)
