Pro-West & Associates, Inc. is looking for a GIS Analyst who will serve as an integral member of our team, providing general GIS data creation, geodatabase management, mass data production, imagery utilization and a solid understanding of integrating GIS services with map projects within our fast-paced, technology environment.

This is a full-time position, with vacation, personal days, holidays, IRA, health insurance and HSA benefits. The position is located in Houston, TX.

Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Geography/GIS, Science, Engineering or related field and 3 years GIS technical experience.

Experience Requirements:
• 3 years experience developing geospatial data
• Technical expertise with ArcGIS Desktop Advanced
• Expertise creating and editing geodatabase features and attributes
• Expertise with data development technologies and processes, and quality control
• Experience with data conversion of GPS field data

Responsibilities:
• Work independently with supervision
• Data development including an understanding of all GIS basics
• Data transformation between projections
• Data creation, attribution and annotation
• Ensure data organization and management
• Administer quality control processes to assure data quality and integrity
• Research existing data
• Process data using Esri ArcGIS extensions, such as Spatial Analyst, 3D Analyst
• Document project and data discrepancies
• Attend in-house project meetings, specific to assigned project
• Maintain and develop ArcGIS desktop skills through relevant and approved trainings
• Occasional site work for emergency response

Required Skills:
• Expertise in GIS data development processes for geospatial data and databases
• Ability to document technical processes and discrepancies to correct errors
• Detail oriented, self-motivated and ability to work in a team environment

Desired Skills:
• ArcGIS Server knowledge
• ArcGIS Online experience
