The Princeton Lumber Division is seeking entry-level mill production associates (General Laborers) for its Spareboard. We want individuals who are committed to safety & have a desire to work in a manufacturing facility while maintaining a positive attitude and good work ethic.
This role is the gateway to internal advancement opportunities.
Position Duties:
- Must bring a commitment to safety, a positive attitude, and a desire to perform physical work
- Entry-level labor duties may vary to include (but not limited to) shoveling, sweeping, spark watch, equipment operation, manual handling of lumber and debris, etc.
- Assist the supervisor in maintaining records, report safety issues, concerns or hazard
- Provide occasional relief coverage for regular operators
- Will be on call
Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications
- All applicants must have a Grade 12 diploma or equivalent – attach transcripts to application
- Ability and willingness to follow all safe work practices and procedures and wear all required PPE as necessary
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving and communication skills
- Well-developed planning and organization abilities
- A willingness to work alternate shifts and varying hours
- Physical ability to work in extreme heat and cold
- Must be team oriented
- Able to work independently as required.
