Randalls Equipment Company, are manufacturers and distributors of forestry equipment and attachments since 1968. Our company manufactures a large range of rotating log grapples for excavators with sales throughout South East Asia.

Randalls are the Australian Distributors for Ponsse forwarders and harvesters, Prentice log loaders, SP Maskiner harvesting heads, Sany forestry excavators, Indexator rotators and Satco harvesting attachments.

An opportunity has arisen to join our Service Department at our Point Cook Head Office. Candidates will be responsible for carrying out maintenance, installations and repairs on equipment for the forestry industry. This role will require a high level of communication and attention to detail with the ability to travel regularly. 

DESCRIPTION OF ROLE

Reporting to the Service Manager, the chosen candidate will play a key role in ensuring customer satisfaction is maintained for the range of products sold and supported by Randalls.  Duties will be varied, ranging from hydraulic installations in our facility in Point Cook, new machine deliveries across Australia, to field service assignments anywhere from Albany, WA to Cardwell, QLD. The ability and desire to travel is a must.  The range of equipment is technologically advanced therefore candidates with an aptitude towards technology and a desire to continue learning would be advantageous.  

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Prior experience working in the forestry industry or with forestry equipment would be highly regarded but not essential.
  • Trade qualified with experience in hydraulic and electrical systems.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Must possess a high level of technical understanding of heavy mobile equipment.
  • The ability to manage time between multiple equipment maintenance projects.
  • Experience in testing and adjusting advanced hydraulic and electrical systems.
  • Provide accurate service reports on completed work.
  • The ability to work as part of a team.
  • The ability to work with limited supervision in remote areas and be highly motivated to get the job done.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Microsoft Office and the ability to use computers is essential.
