This position is for a full-time forester.

Primary responsibilities consists of field work including forest inventories, timber and boundary marking; collecting GPS field data, prescribed burning, timber harvest inspections, planting supervision.

Other responsibilities include developing forest management plans, timber harvest scheduling, timber inventory workup and timber appraisals. The majority of the work is outdoors in varying weather conditions.

The job includes some travel and occasional weekend work. This position is generally a 45-50 hour/week assignment. 

Required Education:

A minimum four year forestry degree is required

Required Experience:

2-3 years of experience is preferred

Job Skills:

• We are seeking a highly motivated individual with the ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment.
• Candidate must be able to complete fieldwork in a timely, detailed and quality manner.
• A minimum four year forestry degree is required, and 2-3 years of experience is preferred.
• Good written and verbal communication skills are required.
• Computer skills and other digital skills are necessary. Experience with ArcGIS, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and field data recorders is required.
