The Regional Water Authority is seeking applicants for the position of Forester. 

This position is responsible for the management of approximately 27,000 acres of forest land for public water supply watershed and aquifer protection, timber management yielding net revenue, wildlife habitat, and open-space protection. 

Job Requirements

Qualified applicant will have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Forestry and two years of experience in the field of forestry, including silivicultural management of northeastern United States forests, and planning and supervision of timber harvests.

Desired skills also include excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational skills, ability to work independently, computer data analysis, and experience with geographic information systems.  

A Connecticut forester certification is preferred or its equivalent.
