Position Description:

 This position will be a member of the Kane Hardwood Resource Team – Land Management section. The Land Management Team is responsible for all aspects of forest land management on the Collins Pennsylvania Forest. Candidate must be motivated and be willing to function as part of a team environment. Strong sense of environmental stewardship and willingness to promote the integrity of the company is important. 

Position Responsibilities:

• Timber marking
• Timber cruising
• Harvest block layout
• GPS data collection
• GIS map preparation
• GIS record keeping
• Boundary line maintenance
• Must be able to work independently
• Complete tasks within time constraints and produce accurate results
• Other duties as assigned

Position Requirements:

• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Forestry or related field or Associates Degree in Forestry or related field and 2 years’ experience
• Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Proficient using GPS and ArcGIS technology
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Must be physically able to work in all weather conditions in the outdoors
• Must be a team player and willing to share responsibilities
• A valid driver’s license and a safe driving record
