Forester Technician (Technologists & Technicians)

This position is for a full-time entry-level forest technician. Primary responsibilities consists of mainly field work including forest inventories, timber and boundary marking; collecting GPS field data, prescribed burning, timber harvest inspections, planting supervision. The majority of the work is outdoors in varying weather conditions. The job includes some travel and occasional weekend work. This position is generally a 45-50 hour/week assignment.

Job Skills:

• We are seeking a highly motivated individual with the ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment.
• Candidate must be able to complete fieldwork in a timely, detailed and quality manner.
• A minimum two year forestry degree is required.
• Good written and verbal communication skills are required.
• Computer skills and other digital skills are necessary. Experience with ArcGIS, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and field data recorders is preferred.
