Job Description
Hunt Forest Resources, LLC is currently seeking a Forester/Timber Buyer to procure timber for timber harvest operations in eastern North Carolina. This position reports to our New Bern office and works throughout multiple counties in the eastern NC region.
Responsibilities
Primary duty of this position is to purchase timber, manage logging crews and efficiently and effectively coordinate harvesting operations for purchased timber. Additional responsibilities include growing and maintaining relationships with wood products markets; documenting, comprehending and following land and timber management plans; facilitating proper land management practices and upholding all ethical and quality standards.
Skills and Requirements
- Strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Self-disciplined, energetic and outgoing personality.
- Clean background check and driving record.
- Able to pass Drug Test.
- Previous educational background or experience in the wood products industry is preferred, but not required; Registered Forester a plus.
