Treespan Forestry Consultants Ltd. (TFC) is an established forestry consulting firm based in Creston, British Columbia. For over 25 years TFC has provided professional forestry planning and project management services to government, industry and First Nations throughout the Kootenays.

We currently have an opening in Creston for a full time Forest Technician. All applicants must possess a valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence.

Forest Technicians

These entry level positions will work with a Senior Technician as part of a crew in all field and office work aspects of Cutting Permit and Road Permit Development for a client in the Kootenays. This includes forest road and cut block development, block site plan and harvest plan data collection and preparation as well as timber cruising.

Successful applicants will possess the following:

• Post Secondary education in a forestry/ natural resource related field will be considered an asset;
• Will have a demonstrated ability and ambition to work in an outdoor environment;
• Must be organized, physically fit, self motivated and have good communication skills;
• Experience in Road and Block Engineering, Timber Cruising, Logging Plans and Silviculture Prescriptions would be considered an asset;
• Must be very organized, physically fit, possess professional work habits, have good communication skills the ability to work under minimal supervision;
• Good computer skills.
