Purpose: This position provides a unique opportunity for the right candidate to grow and develop our
technical services business on the West Coast and develop into a future leader for the Company while
initially assuring the completeness and accuracy of forest inventory on approximately 170,000 acres of
Northern California timberland.
Report To: This position will report to the western region Director of Timberlands.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- This position will lead forest inventory activities on approximately 170,000 acres of NortherCalifornia timberland. This includes forest inventory design, growth and yield analyses, and forest planning activities.
- Assure a safe workplace through personal initiative and responsibility.
- Manage inventory contractors and cruisers and communicate effectively with internal peers.
- Identify opportunities for business improvement and growth opportunities and practices.
Qualifications:
- BS Degree in Forestry, Natural Resource Management, or equivalent, plus 5 or more years of relevant experience. An advanced degree in biometrics, economics, or finance is strongly preferred.
- Team player with strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with people of varying backgrounds.
- Excellent planning, organizational, and problem solving skills.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Technical competency in R or SAS, programming experience, ArcGIS, FVS, Woodstock, and other relevant tools.
- Excellent relational database skills
- Experience designing forest and carbon inventories, using FVS and other growth models, and solving unique technical problems will be advantageous.
