Experienced Forester:
• Registered with the Association of BC Forest Professionals as an RPF,
• Experience working in BC's forestry industry for at least 5 years,
• Passionate about physical work in adverse conditions and flexible towards camp shifts,
• Ability to demonstrate a solid understanding of silvicultural activities and forestland management.
• A great written and verbal communicator who is adaptable and positive towards learning new technologies and processes,
• Proven self-motivator who is well organized and possesses leadership qualities,
• Experience operating ATVs, UTVs, and Snowmobiles.
As a successful applicant, you wiII work closely with our staff to mentor and develop them in the following skills;
• Knowledge of forest legislation pertaining to Crown Land,
• Knowledge of interior harvesting & silvicultural systems,
• Preparation of site plans, stand management prescriptions, salvage plans and site rehabilitation plans.
• Ensuring that employees are both results oriented & able to operate as a team,
• Knowledge of silviculture surveys, practices, and prescriptions.
