ABL Timber Ltd is hiring a part-time, seasonal Excavator Operator in New Glasgow, Nova Scotia.

Education

College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years or equivalent experience

Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.)

Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Certificate; First Aid Certificate; Chainsaw Safety Training; Heavy Equipment Operator Trade Certification

Stumping; Sub-grade excavating; Stripping; Sloping and banking; Rough grading; Material handling; Haul road maintenance; Fine grading and finishing; Excavation; Ditching; Slope grooming

Additional Skills

Prepare accident reports; Participate in safety audits and programs; Complete onboard and other logs

Secure special attachments to equipment; Perform minor repairs to equipment; Operate chain saws to clear trails through woodlands; Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment; Clean and lubricate equipment and refill equipment tanks
