Environmental Technician

 Our ideal candidate will possess:

  • Chemical or Environmental Technology Diploma or B.Sc., equivalencies considered
  • Demonstrated team skills & basic computer knowledge
  • Initiative to learn and grow, effective organization and communication skills
  • Level 1 or 2 Water Certification or lab related experience in an industrial setting would be considered an asset
  • A valid driver’s license

 Key responsibilities include:

  • Commitment to the Slave Lake Pulp Health & Safety Program
  • Collection and testing of effluent and water samples, routine bioassay sampling, & ensuring environmental compliance
  • Projects related to environmental compliance and/or performance

 Particulars:

  • This position is a four days on and four days off rotation with work hours from 06:00 to 17:30
  • The successful candidate must be able to work weekends
