Besse Forest Products Group (BFPG) is a leading manufacturer of quality Northern hardwood veneer, lumber, and specialty plywood.  BFPG owns and operates our own veneer mills, sawmills, lumber drying concentration yard, plywood operation, and forestry department. Besse Forest Products Group also exports North American hardwood products to markets and customers around the world.

We are looking for an ambitious candidate to fill the position of Electrical Engineer. 

The applicant may reside anywhere in Northern Wisconsin, as travel will be part of the requirements.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, maintain, improve and troubleshoot electrical components, equipment and systems for industrial use in a manufacturing setting.

• Assist in developing capital project programs for new equipment or major repairs.
• Design, implement, maintain, or improve electrical instruments, equipment, facilities, components, and systems.
• Inspect completed installations and observe operations to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications and compliance with operational and safety standards.
• Oversee project production efforts to assure projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Perform detailed calculations to compute and establish manufacturing or installation standards or specifications. 

Job qualification/requirements include the following:

• Travel to all mills may be required, with majority of travel to Mattoon and Rice Lake, WI
• 4 year electrical degree with 2 years of relevant work experience preferred
• 2 year electrical degree with 4 years of relevant work experience considered
• Good with math and numbers
• Proficient with computer systems and PLCs
• Experience with electronic systems, troubleshooting and testing in a manufacturing setting
• Industrial electrical experience
