We have been retained by our esteemed client in the manufacturing sector located on the Sunshine Coast to recruit for an Electrical & Instrumentation Maintenance Supervisor to join there team. Our client offers competitive compensation and benefits package and a unique opportunity.

Position Overview:

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this role provides leadership in a fast-paced operating mill environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure maintenance services are effectively planned, coordinated and delivered on time, while meeting cost and quality standards.
  • Maintain and improve an effective preventative maintenance program for the operations to ensure maximum equipment efficiency and reliability.
  • Develop, implement and maintain maintenance standards and procedures to ensure maximum efficiency and performance of mill equipment.
  • Ensure maintenance and repair budgets are prepared, met, and variances explained, with appropriate action taken as needed
  • Ensure E/I areas are manned with a capable workforce by applying succession planning systems, effective coaching processes, accountable leadership practices, and effective recruiting and training.
  • Take a leading role in developing strategies for technology migration to avoid obsolescence within the context of continuous plant operations.

Requirements:

  • Must have an Electrical or Instrument Trade Certificate, Technical Diploma and/or a Degree in Engineering
  • 6+ years related experience required
  • A proven track record in an operating Industrial environment
  • Strong heavy industry high voltage experience required, Pulp & Paper preferred
