Controller (Accounting & Finance)

Main Logging based in Terrace BC is looking for a Controller to assist our growing business.  We are a stump to dump logging/land clearing contractor that has operations in the interior and north coast of BC.  Our youthful management/ownership group would like to take the business to the next level.  

The ideal candidate would have their Professional Accounting Designation or be close to achieving and/or have relevant work experience in a controller/assistant controller position.  Forestry experience is desirable and the ability to partake in job site tours is beneficial.  You are a multi-tasker, fast learner, highly organized with the ability to prioritize, have exceptional written and oral communication/interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and take initiative or be a part of a team.  

Responsibilities to include but not limited to:  manage office staff of 1, develop monthly financial and job costing reports, develop and maintain cash flow, assist is contract negotiations, bank recs/government remittances, tax planning, provide support and coverage where needed.
