Community Forest Manager Vacancy

McBride Community Forest Corporation is looking for a reliable, self-motivated individual to take over the management of the corporation.
McBride, BC is a small community offering an affordable lifestyle, outstanding recreational opportunities, located in the heart of the Canadian Rockies on Hwy 16 between Jasper, AB and Prince George, BC.

Below is a general description of the duties and responsibilities.

The successful candidate will possess the following attributes:

• Leadership and Financial Management skills with at least five (5) years forest management and field experience
• Demonstrated excellence in written and oral communication
• Solid business acumen with excellent analytical skills
• People oriented and able to work collaboratively with numerous stakeholders including the general public, first nations and government agencies
• Good computer skills
• Ability to foster an effective teamwork environment
• Good physical condition with a valid B.C. driver’s license (Class 5 minimum)
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task
• Knowledge of accounting principles and software would be an asset
• Demonstrated marketing experience for timber and sundry products
• Preference will be given to individuals registered with the Association of BC Forest Professionals
