Job Description

This position serves as the Chief of the Forest Resources Division.  As such, the position oversees the planning, development, implementation, and management of statewide programs for the Forest Resources Division to manage the State's forest resources and to help implement the Department's mission.  The position is responsible for the overall performance, effectiveness, supervision, and administration of the Division, including:
 
1. Direct and oversee Forest Resource division programs and personnel;
2. Serve as an active member of the DNR management; and
3. Serve as State Forester

Required Education and Experience

Education
Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major.  See specific educational requirements in the Additional Requirements and Information Section.

Experience
Two years of professional managerial experience.

Additional Requirements and Information

While the Civil Service requirement for the State Bureau Administrator 18 is a bachelor's degree in any major, this position will serve as the State Forester.  In accordance with PA 451 of 1994 Part 505 the State Forester is required to possess a 4 year degree in Forestry.   Only applicants with a 4 year degree in Forestry will be considered for this position.

$97,303.00 - $129,505.00 Annually
