GSFP is a two line sawmill that has recently undergone extensive upgrades enabling it to run on one shift producing 40 Mfbm annual production. We are seeking a high energy, motivated individual with a can-do attitude to join our maintenance team. The Certified Electrician will report to the maintenance leader and work as part of a team safely providing quality operational repairs and preventative maintenance services. You will be responsible for maintenance of all sawmill and planer machinery and duties include:

 - Establish and implement preventative & predictive maintenance activities for both new and used equipment and technology;
 - Bring creative ideas and use knowledge and skills to recognize opportunities for improvements and savings
 - Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions;
 - Troubleshoot, analyze, diagnose and perform maintenance work on machinery;
The Ideal Candidate Qualifications:
 Certified Electrician with a valid Interprovincial Journeyman ticket;
 - Minimum 3 - 5 years of sawmill related experience with a strong commitment to safety;
 - A strong background in the use of Allen Bradley, PLC 5 & Control Logix to assist in troubleshooting;
 - Solid understanding of process control and optimization
 - Knowledgeable with programming and troubleshooting VFD’s
 - Knowledge of high voltage switch gear
 - Demonstrated strong team player with sound communications and interpersonal skills;
 - Strong problem solving skills and willingness to be an integral part of continuous improvement
 - Ability to work independently with little supervision and flexible schedule;
 - Organizational and planning skills as well as proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook;
