Talentcor Recruitment Specialists is recruiting Branch Manager for a wholesale distribution center / forest products in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.

Accountabilities:

• Manage a large number of employees and delegate effectively through key positions and all aspects of the distribution center
• Achieve financial and service goals; manage all resources to achieve desired results within the branch
• Oversee preparation of large branch budget and monitor actual performance to ensure objectives are achieved
• Monitor strategic plans to ensure long-term market share, profitability, and growth
• Oversee sales, purchases, logistics, accounting AR/ AP, inventory control and driving profit.
• Promote and support all safety initiatives ensuring a safe work environment.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 10 years management experience
• Wholesale forest products distribution experience will be considered
• Knowledge of wholesale distribution industry and supply chain management principles
• Knowledge of the impact pricing decisions have on the profit and loss of the company
• Business planning and market analysis skills
• Oral and written communication skills
• Leadership, negotiation and problem solving skills
• Organizational and time management skills
• Ability to effectively supervise staff and achieve results through others 
• Ability to develop and maintain relationships with customers and suppliers to achieve short- and long-term goals of branch
