Assistant Divisional Controller
Woodlands – Vancouver Island

The Position

Reporting to the Divisional Controller, the incumbent will be an important member of the financial team supporting a major, high volume timberlands division. Responsibilities include:

• log production monitoring and reporting
• technical direction and support to other team members such as payroll, AP/AR, contract reviews, data analysis and reporting
• Capital administration analysis and project tracking
• Fiscal period reporting, audit preparation and operating reviews

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree/diploma in business management or accounting and/or working toward professional accounting designation
• Business acumen, analytical skills and process knowledge
• Thorough understanding of business/unit accounting processes
• Proficient computer and business application skills
• Ideally the person will be familiar with forestry terminology for logging and silviculture
