Accountant (Accounting & Finance)

Salary:  $60,000 – $70,000

JOB DESCRIPTION:
  • Oversee the GL and all financial reporting for the operation (IFRS & GAAP)
  • Assist with preparation of the business plan, forecasting, cost reporting & capital projects
  • Capital Asset and Major Maintenance tracking
  • Reconciliations
  • Liaise with and coach junior and operations staff
  • Process improvement and internal controls
  • Assist in departmental budget control, cost/benefit analysis and financial recommendations

REQUIREMENTS:
The following are considered requirements:
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in manufacturing based accounting
  • Professional Accounting Designation (CGA, CMA, CA)
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • Willing to fully relocate

The following are considered assets:
  • Experience using Great Plains software
  • Knowledge of forestry and harvesting
  • Wood products manufacturing experience
