2nd Class Operating Engineer (Engineering)

JOB DESCRIPTION

Weyerhaeuser is currently seeking a 2nd Class Operating Engineer to join our Kenora team.

Duties:

• Work Safely in the production of TimberStrand? at all
  times.
• Steam Plant Operation
• Maintenance and Inspection of Steam Plant, Compressor and Fire
  Protection Systems
• Ensure periodic safety inspections, maintenance requirements
  and documentation accuracy is maintained in accordance with TTSA
  and Weyerhaeuser and Kenora Plant Standard Operating practices

REQUIREMENTS

• High School graduation certificate or GED
• Standardized 2nd Class Operating Engineer Certificate or
• Standardized 3rd Class Operating Engineer Certificate, and
  working towards 2nd class certification
• Registered or eligible for TSSA Certification in Ontario
• Proven analytical troubleshooting and problem-solving
  skills
• Mechanical and electrical maintenance experience is an
  asset
• Solid computer skills in Microsoft Office.
• This is a continuous operating position and requires working on
  a 12-hour shift schedule including statutory holidays

Training Requirements:

• Successful applicants will be provided with training and support.
